I am an OG Pathfinder turned to D&D5e due to my love for Critical Role. I have returned to Pathfinder in the past year but it now feels too "crunchy" for my likes. Although, the appeal of the extensive character customization features (as if the MO of Pathfinder) is still strong.

During my initial year of RPG tabletop exploration (2015) I had the opportunity to play some really unique games. It would have all been in person if not for my intense love for the game and finding out about Pathfinder Society play available online through Roll20.

After experiencing Pathfinder Society - and not enjoying it's restrictions (and general lack of actual roleplaying - not to mention the live play "smell" & noninclusive atmosphere) - I decided to look at other gaming options. I stumbled upon a group of gamers starting up a Star TOS RPG (2nd edition) - what a game that was! Great RPing, great chemistry, the feeling of stepping back in time - it was a magic experience. We played for a short time and then disbanded.

Next I found a game store near me - after months of pinning for an actual 5th Edition D&D game - I had become a hardcore Critter by this time. The day I visited, there was a D&D5e group starting, so I took a pre-gen character (which I later built how I liked) and began a year-long adventure through Elemental Evil. It was interesting being the youngest person in my group and I was 39 at the time.

However, I found that I couldn't get a group of players to roleplay to save my life! And roll20 games were too unreliable. So, I decided I would attempt to GM myself and groom a group of RPers. It's had many iterations and reboots, but - in the end I've got a great group of weekly gamers who make their best efforts at roleplay and we have a great time.

Also, since 2015 - I played Star Wars, Iron Kingdoms and the unique opportunity to playtest new Star Trek Adventures RPG during its Living Campaign period in 2017.
