It's only since I started writing this that I realize it's been a good twenty years now since I started getting into non-video-game RPGs. Ugh. Anyway, I started on Elendor, and then I got into the Old World of Darkness playing Vampire, and Werewolf, and Mage. God I loved Mage. Seriously, that's a fantastic game for roleplay due to the essential nature of paradigm to the game. I've played a lot of Shadowrun, from 2nd edition to 4th edition, haven't gotten to try 5th yet. Played a lot of Deadlands and Hell on Earth as well. Played some Warhammer 40k games, including Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader and Deathwatch, but although I liked the universe I disliked the actual system. FATE is one of my favorite systems, as it's very fiction-driven and flexible, and I really like it. I enjoyed Blades in the Dark considerably. Dresden Files was great fun, too! Played various others like Delta Green and Alternity but not extensively.
