A friend gave me a copy of The Crystal Shard when I was in 6th grade and I couldn't put it down. I think I read the first two pages a dozen times before continuing. The same friend told me if I liked the book... I could play in the Forgotten Realms... I said, "You mean I can play in the same world as Drizzt Do'Urden!" He said, "Yes, and you can drink ale, too!" Okay, that was 31 years ago, so maybe I didn't say exactly that, but my first few characters sure drank a lot of booze.
Ten years ago, I graduated with an English and Special Education teaching license and work as a SSP English teacher at a local high school, but right now... I plan on playing some games and read some great novels. As of January 1, 2023, I am playing Phadelver and Below with my adult and student gamers :)
