Hadn't touched an RPG for years, but 5th ed. D&D is luring me back. Also very interested to see how online gaming and groups pan out -- not having been a notable user of social media to date.
What I missed? Collaborative storytelling, wry or insightful comments and the occasional moment of fantastic luck -- either way -- as a group works the problem.
If anyone knows of Napoleonic, tall-ship or Roman Empire systems or campaigns, please let me know as I'm interested on behalf of a history-buff friend.
Me? Previously been in campaigns set in everything from the lonely reaches of the Spinward Marches to Atlantis to Middle Earth (Traveller, AD&D, Gurps, Cthulu, Rolemaster, Atlantean, MERP, etc.) with a group who all gamed and GM'd, often sharing worlds.
