I'm the weird one. The one that collects dried out animal skulls and danced like a wild thing under the moonlight on summer nights or stood in the middle of the road practising my made-up karate moves with my homemade karate staff - yes I hit myself a few times...
I'm the one that knows all the words to the disney songs and serenades my husband with the Sound of Music soundtrack, while jamming out to Linking Park and Nickleback on my way to work in the morning.
I'm also the one that writes dark depresing poetry at early hours of the morning when I can't sleep or tries to make my own focaccia, forgets about it, burns it, tries again, burns it again, tries again and succeeds, but never makes it again cause it's just easier to buy it...
Now I'm a mundane accountant with a credit card, but no money to buy all the really cool things I've always wanted... like a light sabre! Or a model Enterprise (NCC 1701 is still my favourite) that I can build myself... or a CNC machine cause they're just so freaking cool.
Movies, music, books, art, gaming, crafts and dancing... I love all of it...
But I've let myself forget that these things make me happy... and I've let the stresses of life control me for too long.
So joining Roll20 is a big part of reconnecting with myself and reminding myself that I'm not just an employee... I've got a life as well and it's high time I start living it... in a fantasy realm filled with a bunch of sh!t that wants to kill me... cause the best way to relieve stress is to put yourself under more stress. (insert thumbs up emoji)
