Experience
I've had rather spotty D&D experience since 1e. An odd game here and there, never had experience with any really long-standing parties. I've never had a party stay together beyond level 3, either as a DM or a player. I currently DM one bi-weekly game on roll20.
Computer/hardware
I have a relatively modern pc, headset, and if needed, a video camera.
Expectations
I'm looking for a game I can immerse myself in and have some serious character developments in. I would like a world that has consequences. I'd like to feel like my character's decisions and relationships with NPCs have some continuing effect on the world. In a DM, I look for a good storyteller, with people skills. Holding a group of semi-random people together requires a lot of management and understanding.
Character
I tend to play rogues or casters, and have always wanted to play a wizard to high levels. That being said, I am always the first to jump in and roll whatever the party needs. Whatever I decide to play, I like to intertwine my backstory with the world, and always try to leave some story threads in it for future hooks.
Etc
I've had pretty bad experience with games on roll20, as they never seem to hold together long enough to accomplish anything. I know long standing games are out there, but the odds of actually finding one seem pretty slim. What I want is a game I can rely on. I can promise to either be there every time, ON time, or to give plenty of warning if I can't be.
