I am an old school RPG player who started with AD&D in the 80's and has played mostly D&D for the 40-odd years since (with additional forays into Vampire and some of the other early TSR RPGs like Gamma World and Boot Hill). I play RPGs because I love collaborating to tell a cool story.
I'm mostly playing D&D these days, but I'm open to other systems as well. I've found myself particularly having fun with text-based and play-by-post games, which, while they don't move as fast, really emphasize the role-playing while, when done well, allowing for the strategic part of combat too.
