In search for a GreatGM; RolePlay over just trowing dice;
I've been playing D&D on and off for 4-5 years now from 3.5e, 4e, and most recent 5e. Well... in 5e I haven't been playing much to my liking... I've been DM-ing campaigns and one-shots for friends (and other random people).
For the most part I prefer DM-ing because i like to set up the scene, to give that sparkling detail (that most likely no one will notice). To relate that feeling that should be felt, the surprise, the dread, the joy of the moment. I like to help the players get more into the character and give them a taste of what the characters should be experiencing, to make it more real for the table.
BUT, but if i find that guy or girl that DMs in the same way... i cant wait to play a persona in that DMs world.
I'm not that good at socializing so... I may never find that DM... maybe if I roll well on that luck check :-?
Things that will turn me off from a game include lack of communication, out of game drama mixing into the game, too much immersion breaking or out of character interactions during a game, characters acting on info that only players know and if a game takes too long to start. When you're at the table it's game time. I am laid back and relaxed and I respect other people's time and their roleplay. I expect reciprocity.
