I have never played D&D or any TTRPGs before. After watching YouTube videos about them, however, I made the choice to try and get into them, using this site.
I am a new player, and I would like to start as a player rather than a DM; while I do have experience writing stories, I write books, and I fear this might interfere with my ability to DM effectively.
I only play with text, rather than voice/video.
