I began playing D&D in 1979 using the Holmes Basic rules set. I soon switched to 1st edition AD&D and then 2nd edition when it came out. I mostly left off gaming in the late 90s as career and then family took over most of my time. However, Roll20 has allowed me to once again get back into the hobby and I now play what is referred to as "Old School" gaming. I currently use Roll20 to host a campaign using the D&D Basic/Expert rules (Moldvay/Cook, 1981).
If you want to know more about what is meant by "Old School" gaming, check out the Principia Apocrypha page. It also includes links to many other Old School Gaming resources.
Now that I am retired, I am considering trying my hand at a "paid DM" side job. If you have a group of 3-6 people who already know each other, let me know if you'd be interested in me running a game for you. Perhaps we can work something out. I would prefer to run a B/X game, although a similar Old School ruleset might be possible. Again, you must be a group of 3-6 people who already know each other. If you have previously gamed together, that's even better. In any case, I am not really interested in assembling a group of strangers and then hoping that the group dynamic works out.
