Hello. I've been playing D&D for 35+ years. I have the most experience with 3.5, but have played quite a bit of 5e and a little pathfinder as well. I retired for good, a few years ago, so I can dedicate myself wholly to D&D, and other personal pursuits. I live on the West Coast USA, Pacific Time (UTC - 8) I just finished up a Wednesday game (LMoP), and a Sunday game (Curse of Strahd). I'm available any time.
I love creating interesting characters, with interesting character arcs. I always prefer playing a character for years, as opposed to making new characters every few sessions. I know lvl 1-20 games are almost non-existent, but lvl 1-10 or so is enough to scratch that itch, for me. LMoP was a bit short, not really allowing me to develop, and explore, my character's idiosyncrasies.
When I join a group, I am doing so to play D&D. I take the game seriously. Lately, several groups have been more about socializing than playing, and I'm not really interested in that. Obviously, some "Hey! What's up! Did you hear about the new _______?" is fine; but when the group spends 2 hours socializing, and 1 hour playing, that's not fun for me.
I prefer a moderately optimized table. Finding ways to succeed when the team isn't highly optimized is one of my favorite things. I prefer teammates who take the initiative to do things in game. If the DM is saying "So what do you want to do next," I consider that a failure of the group. The group should always be making plans, and presenting them to the DM for consideration. The DM should never have to ask.
And that's me, in a nutshell. I hope to hear from you soon!
