Move Journal Items to Folder, Reorder Items not in folders

It appears there is no way to move an object to a folder in Journal.  Also, there appears to be no way to reorder items in the 'root' folder.  Am I mistaken?  I created my characters before creating folders, that's why I ask.

It's a bit tricky to make the move, but it is indeed possible. Make sure to drag it by the handle (or image), not the name. It requires a little rightwards jog to tell it to tuck in. Once you get the hang of it, it is second nature. I thought there was an animation on the wiki, but I couldn't find it. Edit: Also (and I just discovered this), you can right click on a folder to create a journal or character within that folder. And no, I don't think you can re-order the root folder. It might be possible to put loose items in a folder, sort it, and then delete the folder, releasing its contents to the root. I don't know if they would retain their order.

Pat H. said: It appears there is no way to move an object to a folder in Journal.  Also, there appears to be no way to reorder items in the 'root' folder.  Am I mistaken?  I created my characters before creating folders, that's why I ask. if your folder structure never goes deeper then 2 folders, you could technically throw everything into a folder, call it root, order them, then delete the root folder(make sure you do NOT delete contents too) and I think they spill out in reverse order.  You can't do this if the folders have more then 2 or 3 subfolders cause theres a hard limit on folder structure.  You can make a billion but can only place items in the first 3 subs.  I find its much better to store things you don't really need in a session and transmog them as needed, I put my npcs in a session called npcs, my handouts for specific stuff in sessions named for them, and just use the transmog.  I find  this keeps the live session running like a pristine speedster for load times.  Plus transmog will always aphabetize the objects in the lists for you so it can be a hot mess in your sessions journals in the non live session and everytime you open transmog its single file perfect.
