At the moment, only the premium (pro) customers, the ones that pay most, the ones that could expect to be pampered most, are able to do work for Roll20 by helping out on the dev server. So Roll20 takes their highest paying customers to do extra work for them. I think that this is a flawed design, which leads to code being pushed which has not sufficiently been tested and thus - when going live - tends to show way too many bugs or fails entirely. My proposal: Open the dev server to everyone. This will broaden the tester base and the amount of tests during alpha and beta, and will reduce the amount of so-called "improvements" which in the best case don't make a situation worse.
