[Paid] [LFP] [$US20] 2 more players needed to get us started! The Rod of Seven Parts: A Planescape Classic updated for 5th Edition D&D [Sundays at 4pm GMT/12 pm EST]

Eons ago, powerful elemental lords from the plane of air created a powerful artifact of law and judgment: the Rod of Seven parts. Using it, they defeated the legions of a powerful demon lord, the Queen of Chaos, and imprisoned her general, Miska the Wolf-Spider. The rod, however, was destroyed in the process, and its pieces scattered across the multiverse. Now, our heroes seek to reunite the seven parts, as Miska stirs in his ancient prison.   The Rod of Seven Parts is a classic from the Planescape era of D&D, when adventurers traveled across the multiverse to seek glory and treasure in the depths of the Nine Hells or the vaults of powerful djinnis in the elemental planes. The campaign will begin in Sigil, the City of Doors, the neutral haven at the centre of the multiverse. Play will begin at 5th level, to account for the increased danger - and potential - of the setting. This is a mid - to - high tier campaign, intended with players with some experience with D&D 5e, or at least other high fantasy roleplaying games. Familiarity with Planescape and the classic D&D multiverse is not a requirement. During the campaign characters will revisit classic locations from the history of the game, possibly including such legendary venues as the Tomb of Horrors, the Temple of Elemental Evil, the Well of Dragons, and the Demonweb Pits. This is not a typical 5e adventure, but an attempt to echo the much more mythical proportions of high level play in earlier editions of the game. If you have any questions about the content or the style of the campaign, or about myself, please contact me through this site. Payment will be arranged through startplaying.games, at US$20 due at the start of each sesssion. Sessions will run a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 hours. This is a mid to long term campaign that should last between 4 and 6 months of weekly play.  Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
