Alright, it looms like there's plenty of interest, so I will say that anyone who remembers to show up Wednesday is welcome to join. I am not afraid that we'll end up with a 10 person party or something because I don't expect everyone who posts in a random thread here to follow up on it. :P
Though, if that does happen, we can make it work. I imagine that, even if we do get that many people, they won't all consistently be able to play at the same time and/or some will eventually move on. Until then, I won't go all crazy with combats and turn this into a Warhammer game.
Anyway, for anyone following up, we'll start at Level 1. All the core races and classes are permitted. I'm a fan of most Paizo content, but I want to keep things pretty simple (especially for new players). If you're experienced (or a particularly zealous reader), I will allow other races and classes (and alternate racial traits/class archetypes as well) if you run them by me first. I will state this, though: No Cavaliers, Samurai, Gunslingers, or Summoners, please.
Whatever you choose, I recommend you post it here so we can have a well rounded party. I hope to see all the bases covered because it gives me more freedom and it allows players to shine individually on a regular basis.
Here's creation rules:
- Level 1
- Standard Point Buy (for Ability Scores)
- Average starting gold for your class.
- I start everyone with a tent, backpack, bedroll, waterskin, and 10 days of rations. The party, collectively, also gets 50 feet of rope and a grappling hook. No need to buy these things redundantly if you don't want to.
- You can spend your gold on any non-magical gear that you wish and up to 75gp on potions or scrolls or other such expendable magic thingies.
- Full hit die starting HP (+ CON bonus).
- We'll use favored class bonuses as described in the book. (If you take a level in your favored class, you get a bonus HP or skill point.)
If you're new, this is a good place to start: <a href="http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/gettingStarted.html" rel="nofollow">http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/gettingStarted.html</a>
If anyone has any questions, big or small, post them.
For anyone looking to do something that isn't in the core rulebook, consider the Advanced Player's Guide, Ultimate Magic, and Ultimate Combat as probably allowed, but don't count on anything beyond those. Ask in any case, regardless.
