Pathfinder - Looking to start weekly game.

Cool, thanks Darcy
I'm sending links now. Time was shorter than expected the last few days, so I was trying to touch up some things. I'll send my email address along with the link so you can send me anything you haven't already sent.
just saw the post - is there still room?
@Scott we're starting right now, so I'd say wait until next week to play. I'll send you the campaign link if you wish to watch.
All links should be sent. Post if I missed you.
I magically slept through my alarm, sorry I didn't make it. I'll try next week.
Sorry for the abrupt end to tonight's game. I had to get some other stuff done tonight and things started running long. Also, random encounters shouldn't usually be as rough as the current one. I added a goblin and had the hobgoblins show up a turn early to make up for having 7 people. That and the fact that we had a shocking 4-5 misses in a row on that one guy made it harder than typical. You're still near town, so people can rest for a while at the inn and that'll bring people back to full HP.
Yeah those misses were crazy. I can just see it now: Walk out of city gate, walk back in 5 minutes later half the party bloody and battered. "Yeahhhhh, we're gonna need to stay the night first..." lol
Wow, it sounds like an interesting first session. What's the current composition of party members? Are there any roles that need to be filled?
Oracle, Wizard, Magus, Fighter, Monk, Ranger I believe was our group. One more that I'm forgetting.
Rogue. :)
would like to join if you can fit in another player, if not can i have a link to watch
You're welcome to watch, Brandon, but we're overly full on players. Sorry... :(
We had 7 players this week, and I believe up to 2 people will be wanting to join us next week. We're going to have to work something out because 9 people in a party is insane. I didn't expect people to actually be so active. We can wait until game day, though, because, perhaps, we may not reach those numbers again. @Darren - I would say the classes we need the most would be a Barbarian, Paladin, or Cleric (with the last two being built to be capable in melee).
Maybe split into two groups? Are you capable of running 2 games a week?
I've got a lot going on recently, so I don't think that would be viable for me. If anyone in the group wants to run a game as GM, maybe we can split like that. I can probably PLAY in the second game as 80-90% of the effort (and time) of being a GM happens outside of the game. If not, if we have to, we can alternate weeks or I can try running two games (with shorter sessions for each of them).
Would anyone else like to DM a second group perhaps? I, too, would like to play. So that would make for pretty solid groups if split in half. edit: I basically parroted the last two comments without reading fully. BUMP lol
Seems like there's plenty of people that want to play Pathfinder but not enough people that want to GM. I would volunteer but I only have 3.5e experience. :-\
Alright, I have a few questions, seeing as I've never used this program before. Is there a built in character creation program, or is it a matter of creating the character and emailing it to the DM for approval?
You'd have to create the character yourself and send it to me. There's plenty of online creation tools and editable PDF's, though. If you need one, I can find you one.
Another question: the Advanced Race Guide came out, and has a lot of neat expanded options. Would you be willing to allow some the content? From what I understand, it will be up on the paizo srd within two weeks.
I just found a copy of the playtest version and I'm going to look at some of the stuff. I'll get back to you soon.
Also, here's something worth pointing out: As long as we're level 1, you're welcome to change your character around. You can change whatever you want. You can change equipment as long as you acknowledge anything you've spent money on that you've exhausted (so, if you use a potion, that money is gone forever). If you change races or classes, run it by me first. I believe we will have a smaller group this week (possibly 6), which is good. Until we get settled in, being able to change things around will make sure we all have stuff that we know works. Also, in other news, I just got a new job the other day. I don't know when it starts, but I may or may not have Wednesday's free. I'll share more information as it comes up.
Thanks for all the effort Marcus. Always appreciated.
@Darcy - Thanks! -- Ok, yea, the stuff from the Advance Race Guide is fine. It's also really cool. Until it's online, I can't really get it out to you people in any legal way, but if you have access to it now, you can use it.
Hello - old timer here looking to game again after a long hiatus. Is there a chance that I could get in on this game? Please send me an email through this board. Thanks!
To anyone who hasn't already talked to me in some capacity, for now, we aren't taking any new players. I don't want to leave anybody out, but we don't want to have too many players or it won't be fun for anybody. If we lose people or have an opening for whatever reason, I'll post here letting everyone know. Right now, I believe we're somewhere between 5 and 7 and that's ideal.
Room for one more player?
@Tony - Sorry, as you can read in my above post, we're keeping it where we are for now. If things change, I will post. --- For the current players, game starts in an hour. I haven't had a chance to look at all the background info you guys sent to me, but I trust it's fine. We should be able to get started on time tonight, but only count on this session being about 2 hours long. The links I sent you last week should still work, but, if they don't post here.
Hey, I never got a link for the game.
I just let Marcus know. Did you PM him too?
I sent it out, we're waiting for you if you're playing.
I'm going to have to call off this campaign, at least for now. Work hours make it hard to plan well enough for the game to be worth your time. I'm disappointed, but eh... I wish Roll20 had more interested GM's out there...
Understood. That's too bad, but the effort was appreciated, Marcus.
Ah well, thanks for the first few sessions at least :)
I am running a pathfinder game at 10:30AM (CST) time-frame. Currently ran two sessions. My original two didn´t show for the second, though 1 was not sure if the game was going on, never heard back from the second. Second session had two more and a third that joined in when we were closing up. if there is an interest for that time let me know. I may have a game tomorrow (5 July) at the same time as I mentioned above. If it works out well, I will attempt to run the games twice weekly for about 3 hours or so each session.
I may slowly work out lengthy campaign ahead of time and then have it all set aside and ready. That way, I won't need week-to-week prep time. I was thinking an Eastern campaign with the races and classes and equipment that Pathfinder added (mostly in Ultimate Combat). There'd be, like, Kitsune rogues with kusarigamas fighting samurai or whatever...
