The one sure way to tell if the baby-eating Margreve Witch is at hand is to watch your milk—if it curdles suddenly, then she is near. If so, never answer a knocking on your door at midnight, for it is sure to be her Hollow Man come to collect your head! —Old wives’ tale of Margreve The Midgard setting from Kobold Press, for 5th edition D&D, is inspired by the grim folktales and legends of central and Eastern Europe, rather than the chivalric knightly romances of France and England. It is a place of high and deep magic, where fey sovereigns hold ancient claims over the cities of mortals, and dragons are supreme, worldly emperors rather than distant threats sheltering in caves. This 3-session mini-campaign is intended to introduce new players to the setting, and let them decide if they are interested in one of the longer, epic campaigns from Kobold Press. Players will travel through the mysterious Margreve forest, where they will encounter - and hopefully resolve - the mysterious threat of the Hollow Man, a creature of ancient legends come the village of Levoca. Characters will level twice between sessions, ending the campaign at level 3. Players will have access to unique Midgard-inspired character race and class options through the Roll20 compendium. We will use Discord for communication. If you have any questions, send me a message and we can discuss things over Discord. I have a couple of different time slots planned for this (see links below). If you have an existing party that is interested on signing up for this adventure together, please get in touch.
