First try at AD&D 2e, Saturday July 19th, 6:30pm (GMT -5).

I'd like to take my first stab at running a 2e game. As such, i'd like to try and keep it to the core books (Player's HandBook, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Monstrous Manual to be precise) for this go around. Don't worry if you don't have the books, or know the system at all. I'm more interested in creative, slightly unhinged players with interesting ideas, than i am in old-2e-hands to help me parse the rules. If you've played one version of D&D, you can play any other. Completely new players are always welcome as well. The setting is a world where gods are not an apparent factor (so a cleric praying for spells becomes something altogether more "self-helpy"), and wizard's spellcasting resembles something more akin to a mystical nuclear-fission than traditional spellcasting (so spell components become necessary.) More specifically, it's Areadne - Fortune of the Stars. A kind of dystopian fantasy Bespin. An overcrowded city located high above the clouds, where the high-ruler is chosen by lottery from amongst the noble houses, and a humanistic religion wields a growing power.
I'd be up for this, I'm new to both Roll20 and PnP2E but I'm really drawn to the world description...and "slightly unhinged" might be applicable. Is this a setting of your making or can I read up on it somewhere? Do you stick with built in Roll20 gizmos or use something else for in-game communication? Either way I could use a hand making sure it works correctly. My PHB sits ready regardless.
Depending on the day i'd be interested in playing
I'm game just let me know the time.

Vipre: The setting has a lot in common with established settings, but it's just mine. I tend to use skype when the roll20 voice doesn't work (which is most of the time.) Can get you the link if you're interested. TheRavenOfDeath: You might like the title of my post. Very informative. Tero R.: Time is in the title of this post.

What game system are you running & the edition please? Also if you could describe your experience running this system on Roll20 in just a few words please. Kidding, Billy! Nice game pitch and I hope you have fun with 2nd Edition, it's my favorite. I know you've been running just about any-and-every edition of D&D on here. And yes, your subject-line is informative.

Right, forgot you were new to roll20. Each game gets its own page, and the GM sends the link to everyone who's meant to be there. That's the link i'm talking about.
Oh, got confused by the sentence order. I'd appreciate that.
