Journal characters

Hi there I've set up my characters (sans character sheets thus far) & assigned their tokens. On the journal navigation pane there is some sort of traffic light system to the right of the listing (image attached) I can't find in the help docs what this represents, if someone can please assist? Thanks in advance

Usually those colored dots reflect the color of who is assigned to them but I don't know anymore if that is the case now.

That is the case. IIRC, the dot colors are taken from the color you choose for your user avatar and 3d dice.

The dots also differentiate between edit and view permissions if those settings are different.  I'm guessing that the first 4 in that list can be seen by all players (dark blue dot), but can only be edited by players that have that red or light blue dice color.

The blue dot means that the sheet/handout has been shared with ALL players and can be seen in their Journal, the other colored dot means that it has been shared with a particular player (depending on the choice of color they've made), so it's double-shared :)
Many thanks Pat S, keithcurtis, Kraynic, Springroll.
