[LFP][5E][PAID] Elves of Sehanine - Wednesdays 3pm PST/PDT

The elven-blooded followers of Sehanine find themselves fighting to save their way of life against Tolkein-esque orcs, a dragon, spiteful humans, and a vengeful undead. Note: It is my experience that dynamic lighting can cause lag and other such issues and for this reason, I tend to use standard Fog of War in my games. I am looking for a party of 5 to 6. (Post your applications in the application discussion listed at the very bottom.) This campaign is meant to take players to high levels! To Apply Please See the Listing! https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/309503/elves-of-sehanine or post here! WELCOME! Hey, I’ll be your DM. I am a 30-something lady gamer with a passion for a good story. I welcome everyone to my table to have fun and enjoy themselves but not at the expense of another. New players are of course more than welcomed to join in the adventure. If you are a fan of D&D shows such as Critical Role, you have found a kindred spirit! I enjoy weaving character backstories in as much as possible. Depending on the desires of the group I will do that here. I previously worked about twenty hours between secretary work and running a LARP for children. Since a little before covid struck, this has been my full time job. THE GAME The average game will last about 3 to 3.5 hours with a break of about 10-15 minutes in the middle. I have many ideas for metaplot but the game is going to be centered around a few key things: - Story threads introduced by a modified version of the 'Warriors of Sehanine' adventure published by Florian Emmerich, JVC Parry and Ashley Warren - Inspiration taken from Dragon Age in regards to reclaiming elven history, etc. Lots of focus on Sehanine, etc - All characters are elves or half-elves, and followers of Sehanine, and thus the party will be thematic - Character Backstories. The first arc or two may not reference them much as that time will be mostly for absorbing the setting, getting used to each other and your characters. - Elven culture more-or-less as described in Tome of Foes Chapter 2 SETTING - This world will have the typical Faerunian pantheon but is otherwise a homebrew setting. - Run in a 'points of light' style, cities are distant and separated by dark and dangerous wilderness. Trade, politics, etc change from place to place and can be volatile. Monsters are more prevalent, much like in Witcher. - The world is in a bit of a 'dark age', much of history has been lost between the catastrophic wars of the past and an unknown magical calamity that happened a couple of thousand years ago. - Connections to the other Planes are very difficult and often brief. - The elven-blooded have separated themselves in the aftermath and there is some amount of distrust from other cultures because of this, especially the quick-tempered humans. Fewer and fewer elves are being born, those that are often losing the characteristics of their parents (born half-elf), or unable to enter Reverie/Trance. - Dark Elves are not typically followers of Lolth and instead live among other elves as they always have - Followers of Lolth are called 'Children of Malice' and are typically elves (and now half-elves) that have turned their back on their ancestry. Going so far as to mutilate their ears to make themselves 'other'. They do not experience Reverie and many believe they are denied reincarnation. - Familiars are npcs with personalities all their own CHARACTERS Must be elven or half-elven. Tasha's Custom Origin is an option but your character will not be able to Trance. Bonus Attributes from your race/culture/origin can be distributed how you wish Characters are will start at level 2! UA or other Third Party options will be considered on a case by case basis Multi-classing is allowed but as your backstory is more important than your sheet, you must have a reason why.
