I dm a group of 3 players looking for a fourth, all are males between the ages of 20 and 40, i think the oldest is like 36. We all played alot of DnD as kids and now we have come together for the past year or so and done it as adults. We are on our 3rd campaign, with intentions of going forward to the fourth, 5th, 6th, and beyond. We meet every week for BOTH nights, sometimes we miss one but rarely do we miss both. As far as what you can roll, almost anything is open. I am trying to not set rules for what is off limits, though i have had a few trolls reply and then want to roll in a LA+17 race which is stupid. If you want to be a Ogre(la+2), half ogre, Githrazi, or some other LA race go for it. If you want to draw from Complete Warrior/Adventuer/ect/ect/ect go for it. I have PDFs of all the 3.5 books. The party is currently Half Ogre Barb (5 barb/2 fighter/1 frenzied barb) Tinker Gnome Wizard(3Wiz/1Master Specalist/2 Sorc/4Ultimate Magus) Elf Druid(9 druid) You can roll just aboiut anything you like, they have magic items for healing. Half Vampire Bard? Sure. Full Vampire Fighter with a spiked chain? Why not. Troll Ranger? Sure, though humans and other people in the game will still treat you like a troll and attack you on sight. The barb when he died with his fire guy was thinking of coming back in as a Stone Giant Barbarian. We use 3.5 ruleset with some homebrew changes to certain things to make it less beaucratic. Sometimes a throwback to 2nd edition is thrown in. I try to run a logicaly consistant world that operates as our world does. That means i try to avoid situations or i am willing to alter the rules on a circumstansial basis if what is happening in game is poorly reflected in the rules. As an example, if you cast a 10ftx10ft square of grease at a giants foot, the 15-25 ft tall giant can simply increase the length of his stride and step over it. It is never said directly in the giant entry they can do this, and grease does not specify. But it makes no sense that a 25 foot tall giant who takes 12 foot long strides can not step over a 10ft puddle of grease without a save. Another example, Rogues gain sneak attack damage while "flanking" a target. however, if the target is attacking the rogue directly, they do not get sneak attack bonus even if the barbarian and fighter are "flanking" the target on either side. The target is looking directly at the Rogue. Therefore he can not effectivly hit a weak spot. (we had a guy rage over this and then leave when it came up in combat) So if you are interested in a game with a bunch of mature adults where you can pick almost any race/class combo to get into and if your ok with a bit of rule lawyering/alterations and arent going to rage like a 10 year old if something does not go your way, message me on here or on skype(treetop_san) and the group would love to have you. -- Current Campaign Setting Using Ebberon map as a basis, though i know nothing of ebberon lore so i am making it up as i go. The Zerg ala Starcraft have came on a set of Asteroids that normmaly carry Starmetal. A rare and precious metal from metors. This time it was zerg Spores. Can the party figure out how to stop the unstoppable tide of zerg? Or will the world be consumed and put to the flame?
