Unable to see own messages & macros in chat

Hello, I'm experiencing a bit of a strange problem when it comes to one of the games I can currently playing. You see, while I am able to interact with & adjust my token/macros in my sheets, nothing is actually showing up in the in-game chat log. While normally I'd chop this up to my awful macro programming, I then realized that, while I could type, nothing actually showed up in the chat log after I pressed enter! What's even more  confusing is that, while I couldn't see anything, a friend of mine that I'd called in had no issue! So I feel as if my chat window is frozen somehow. Even when swapping to a complete different computer on a different WiFi, the effect still persists. Any suggestions on how to help or troubleshoot?

It could be a corrupted Chat Archive. A game's Creator is often able to fix issues with their Text Chat by  clearing the Chat Archive  (note: not  clearing your current Chat Log ). A GM might want to copy/back up the Chat Archive before the Creator clears it.

I see... Thank you for the suggestion! I'll see if I can contact the Creator/GM to test out if it works. 

I have made the same test, and it is still not working.  This applies to both PC actions and NPC Actions.

Hmm... Try creating your own game and see if the issue persists. Also try a private browsing window. This is an odd one. What browser are you using?

So far, I have tried this on Google Chrome, Opera, & Microsoft Edge. Unfortunately, still nothing has shown any progress. I can only find a small workaround on checking the actual chat log in a separate window, & even then I must regularly refresh it in order to figure out what others or myself are even typing.

Oh...! I've come back with an update! It turns out my GM had been fiddling with some of his own personal scripts & mods that were supposed to help with chat commands & macros, & my (no so) educated assumption is that probably didn't play well with some of the browsers & separate computers I use. Of course, pure guesswork, but my issue has been solved nonetheless. Thank you so much for coming to my aid, you have been a great help!
