4 adults looking for a Pay to Play DM for a long-term private weekly session on Tuesdays 6:30-10:30 PM EST We are all childhood friends, looking to play online together with someone taking care of the DMing for us. All of us have played RPG games throughout the years, but one of us has never played 5e. We are interested in playing a Gestalt campaign. Characters would be: Eloquence Bard/Vengeance Paladin Grave Cleric/Phantom Rogue Clockwork Soul Sorcerer/Genie Patron Warlock Bear Barbarian/Rune Knight Fighter We are definitely looking for a high power/high magic campaign, where we can have fun with the somewhat resource heavy nature of a gestalt campaign. We are pretty RP centric, but we still want to throw some blades and spells around in combat. Our experienced players have helped our one non-DnD 5e players create his character, so they are relatively optimized.  In terms of content, the three of us have done a lot, if not all, of the official WOTC adventure books. As such, we would prefer to do a homebrew campaign, or at least a third-party adventure campaign we haven't heard of. If you are using an adventure supplement, please don't ever tell us what it is until after we have completed it. Most of the characters have a level 1 to 20 progression chart listing out their evolution, so you will be able to see exactly what sort of power creep you are getting involved with. While gestalt playing style can seem overpowering, characters are still limited by their action economy. As a general rule of thumb, I would assert that Gestalt characters are 1.25 to 1.5 times stronger in combat over a single class character, but with multi-classing, there really isn't a huge difference. The primary factor in their favor is the amount of resources that they have available to them (for example, the spell slots from both classes, assuming both classes have spell casting), which just means that they can be effective a little longer before requiring a rest. We are invested in making this work, and we are very excited to find a DM that will match our energy. Two of us are experienced with Roll 20 and can handle character sheet setup for a Gestalt build (as it will take some custom class/manual adjustments to make it work with their sheets). In fact, we already set up the characters in a placeholder game on roll20 to make sure that the OGL character sheet could handle a gestalt layout.   BONUS ITEMS If you already have the DnD materials purchased for your VTT, that is a big plus. Please note it in your reply. Unfortunately, D&D Beyond is useless for gestalt builds, so characters have to be prepared elsewhere. You have experience with the balancing complexities of a gestalt campaign.  You have interesting or unique Homebrew rules. We also have some variant/homebrew rules we would like to try out, but these are all negotiable. You have already run long-term campaigns previously. You love the idea of intermixing each characters' backstories with the story arc.  If this is something you might be interested in, please reach out privately and we'll schedule a time to chat.
