Roll20 Console is showing LOTS of problems. Can't get Roll20 to work on Firefox, so now I'm on Chrome and still waiting on R20 to get back on my help ticket...

Paid subscriber, but I guess that doesn't mean anything. Last weekend, right before game time, and all handouts and character sheets are gone. I ended up seeing them on Chrome so I used that. Yet it is still a problem. Now even Chrome is giving me problems. Takes absolutely forever to load or do anything. I've cleared cache/ cookies -- I've deleted/reinstalled Firefox. I have tried incognito. I know that I was able to sign into R20 on another machine in FF and it showed the handouts, so they are not deleted and I know it is my machine -- but I don't know what is causing the conflict. Here is the Chrome Console, hoping someone more knowledgable can help: app.roll20.net/:6 Refused to execute inline script because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src 'self' 'unsafe-eval' 'nonce-uvimchGp7sfntDhN' 'nonce-cwS0cAVYOjFVkOtd' https://cdn.roll20.net https://www.datadoghq-browser-agent.com http://cdn.inspectlet.com https://*.googlesyndication.com https://*.doubleclick.net https://partner.googleadservices.com https://www.googletagservices.com https://ssl.google-analytics.com https://www.google-analytics.com https://ajax.googleapis.com http://ajax.googleapis.com https://d3clqjduf2gvxg.cloudfront.net https://cdn.firebase.com https://*.firebaseio.com https://*.tokbox.com https://*.opentok.com http://static.opentok.com http://www.google-analytics.com http://cdn.crowdin.com https://crowdin.com http://stun.l.google.com *.sentry-cdn.com https://*.fullstory.com https://cdn.userleap.com". It seems that something is blocking the assets, and if this works on other machines, as you mention is your machine, probably an extension in the browser or an application (maybe Internet Security app?) try to disable some and test.

What extensions do you have installed? Maybe this is some help. https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10134000/character-slash-creature-sheets-not-loading-for-me-dm
David said: What extensions do you have installed? I've done this without any extensions - on a clean install - and still similar problems. So extensions are not the problem. @Gusaar -- I'm on a Mac, so I don't think I have any internet security apps on. That's why this is so odd.

Are you running or have you previously run a script injector like tampermonkey or greasemonkey? Some third party offerings can permanently corrupt data. Can you load other games without issue, or is it just this one giving you issues? Have you recently added a large number of characters or handouts?

I have played with those in the past, but as I said -- I've even deleted Firefox, reinstalled it without anything, and still missing handouts. I was able to sign in at work yesterday, to check, and i saw it all on there fine. I am now even having problems with Chrome which now is stuck on a loading screen. -- I have not added a large number recently.
So in Jan there was a similar issue for others, https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/8046649/cant-load-into-my-game-after-the-site-instability-a-few-minutes-ago I am seeing the same errors and since Chrome is now stuck as the OP in that thread I think the problem is similar. Wonder if R20 had another corrupted file and I can't seem to find it since I've cleaned out caches many times to no avail.

make sure roll20 still has you logged in. it regularly logs me out (about every 5 mins), i've gone from chrome, to firefox, to exporer/edge, now to opera. it stops after switching for a bit, but eventually they all log me out regardless. all clean installs no running security stuff, not even a firewall. It always happens.

It always happens. I'm not being logged out. Currently, I am back to running "okay" on Google Chrome, which I do not prefer. Firefox won't load the handouts/character sheets. It's obviously something about my machine MacOS Big Sur 11.6.2, iMac 2017 27-inch -- since a few days ago I did log on via my work computer (just to check) and it was fine. Unless Firefox is affected by some other file -- I have even tried to do it via a fresh install of firefox and that still was broken.

Generally speaking, if this is at all addon/configuration/settings related problem, most (all?) of that exists in user space outside the core install of the program, so will persist through removal and re-installation. Edit: You could look up where the hidden config files are stored for Firefox for your OS and delete them, which should force it to generate new generic config files. If you backup the old files somewhere, you could copy/paste them back in if that doesn't clear up the issue. If the new config files clear up the issue, then you know something in your old settings/config files is a problem.

Yeah, I don't know where else to look for those files, but I did clear out the library files when I deleted/reinstalled Firefox

This sounds oddly familiar to what happened to a bunch of people who clicked bad "solutions" links on a patch day a few weeks ago on the third party tool support discord server. I really don't wanna go into a debate on firefox vs chrome but I suggest you run a live session without third party tools installed in a chrome browser as chrome is the best smoothest running experience for roll20, if its not your usual browser that is actually better cause then your questionable browsing habits won't effect your live session experience. Then if you need to use third party tools for questionable purposes run them in the firefox install(after you fix it). You really do not need anything from the third party tools if you have a pro subscription. It takes a lil work but a few api scripts do everything you'd ever need without all the risk and everything works automatically on patch day without a need to look for a valid link for an update.
Finally heard from Roll20. They say I have too many handouts and so I'm going to see if that will fix it. Seems odd since it works in other situations -- but whatever... We shall see.

That sounds odd. How many handouts do you have? I have games that have an entire out of print rule set built in indexed and cross linked handouts. I'm not sure the total number (once you include the various visible handouts in multiple folders), but the button at the bottom of the journal that brings up the list of archived handouts tells me I have 1502 archived handouts. The vast majority of them are text with no images whatsoever, and haven't caused me any problems so far, but I wonder how that compares to your handout load...
Roll20 said "roughly 1300" and they claim: " which is outside the bounds of the reasonable number to hold. " Which I find to be BS if I'm paying money, but whatever... I might start to look at other options, because unlike "DM Eddie", I don't feel having a paid account means I "really do not need anything from the third party tools"... R20 has way too many flaws and when you see the suggestions they still don't implement (such as bulk deleting handouts which was requested 4 f'ng years ago) it shows they are not really listening to their community.

I think its safe to say we know what about 1000 of those are. Break them up into the Magic Item tables and then move them to their own sessions called "Magic Item Table A" and so on. Then all the new books with items not on the tables you can just freely make and put in your sessions where you think they should go. You don't want your live session holding that many journal entries. However you must have way more than 1300 entities cause I have about 1000 creatures in my bestiary and have not had an issue with it though I never actually load into the session, I transmog things into it and out of it as I make them. Use your Transmogrifier man, pro sub, flagship feature. Think outside the box with it dude. Its literally the only thing justifying my pro sub cost.

So, the thing is that this is a campaign that has gone on for over a year. I have handouts for all the monsters, npcs, places, etc... I don't think I have a single magic item table as a handout since I either have the magic items determined beforehand (Granted I do have handouts for the magic items so I can track them on the characters better) and I use external tables If I need one. The Transmogrifier is okay, but I have also not been very impressed with it either. A lot of my problem with Roll20 is their ridiculous UI, and refusal to listen to the things we need that we request. I mean if you look at https://app.roll20.net/forum/category/385189/?orderby=popular you will see the many things requested over 4 years ago they still haven't even done. Print Character sheets, better way to organize pages, bulk delete or move, even your beloved transmogrifier is for handout or characters and NOT folders. That is the thing that I find somewhat unbearable, didn't mean to digress away from the main issues at hand -- but you seem adamant to defend the pro account status and I have been starting to feel it is overpriced for the value it gives. But that is a whole other discussion and I really don't feel like going down that rabbit hole. I'm glad you enjoy it, but I will continue to use whatever tools I can get to improve my players' experience, dude.

I'm glad you enjoy it, but I will continue to use whatever tools I can get to improve my players' experience, dude. I think you are missing a lot of context by just looking at that list. Have you looked at dev comments in some of those threads? Are you aware that print configuration is possible now (they made it possible in the sheet framework), but it requires every sheet be rewritten to accommodate it? Are you aware that other layers are waiting on them to finish UDL and get rid of LDL? Actually, the same goes for several other layer and dynamic lighting suggestions. Most people don't seem to bother reading the dev comments. As far as 3rd party tools goes, I don't use any, and see no need to do so. If you are routinely using 3rd party tools, then it gets harder to tell if something is actually a Roll20 problem, or if the interaction between the 3rd party tools and Roll20 is problematic and causing problems in games over time.
Well thank you for your opinions on those matters. Once again, it is not relevant and therefore I won't engage. Thank you though.

Please all, remember the Code of Conduct. We're all trying to help each other here.
@keithcurtis I don't think I've broken any code. I just felt that the condescending tone and unnecessary digressions are not very helpful. I have tried the deleting of handouts & sheets -- a process that takes hours since they refuse to make it easy. And it was not helpful... So, I'm just going to try and rebuild a new game and see how that works...

No worries. Just trying to be proactive. No one's crossed any lines I could see (and I wasn't trying to single anyone out). All is good.
Okay.. so that didn't help and I tried a rollback , one of those "perks" of being pro -- and it dumps things out of my well-curated folders and made a bigger mess of things... Seriously -- why no bulk select/drag?!!!

My guess is that it is a browser limitation. The VTT area uses different underlying tech than the sidebar interface. And though it's way too late now, I always recommend making a copy before trying a rollback. I haven't had great experiences with them.
Thanks. Yeah -- I am going to use one of my old backups, update what I can (hopefully I won't lose too much for me or the players), and clear out some of the more superfluous handouts. I might be stuck using chrome, but whatever... Thanks anyways.
