Spotify Integration into Jukebox - Needs 10 votes to move forward

Score + 72
This post was originated by Quizmar, but didn't get enough votes. I am reposting in hopes that people get behind this. It will only make this product better. Old thread here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/8399013/slug%7D Quizmar wrote "Hello! Jukebox is perfect in its utility but I believe it needs a Spotify plugin or such. In my games music is very important to me. I really enjoy the service so far and it's helping pass the time quarantining. Thank you" This is a game changer, I personally have been through all the sound effects and haven't found things to my taste for all my adventures. I personally don't want to have multiple apps open to run a game. How many people are not running multiple programs to facilitate this need for exterior content? What are they, I'd love to know.
Yea they talked about this on the "Round Table" on the 21st...Spotify licensing prevents them from allowing the music to be played to multiple people. :(
I mean, there is a way that you can prevent it from running afoul of Spotify licensing issues. JQBX is a web app that requires you to login with a premium Spotify account and then lets you create rooms that allow you to broadcast playlists to multiple people. The reason it works, it that it uses Spotify's API to play the tracks through Spotify , and of course requires you to login with the Spotify account. Might be worth using as a point of reference!
Thanks! I know there are other workarounds. Setting up virtual mixers, can be daunting for a person that doesn't find the perfect sound effect or music in the library. This info is helpful. Please please make it possible to run Spotify on Roll20 sessions. Have not deemed Pro account worth the cost but this would be a gamechanger!
Boosting this.
Spotify integration would be amazing for my players and I!
Could we get this post and This Post integrated? It's a total of 74 votes vice 41 and 33.
I was just listening to my playlists on spotify and thought the same thing: wouldn't it be awesome to use my spotify lists (which I use in live sessions) in roll20 during online sessions, so you don't have the hassle of making multiple play lists!
I would really like this, please add this option as a matter of urgency :) It will make adding it to my campaigns so much easier. Music adds such an amazing part of the roleplaying experience - imagine fighting a dragon, then the perfect battle music comes on, matching the description of this humungous, green but astonishingly beautiful dragon towering over you as its mouth opens and a loud roar comes from it. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY KINGDOM" it says as you prepare for battle <queue Spotify>
yes pls
This would be great!
I wanted to add soundscapes to my games, Spotify has so much more resources to do so. Please consider adding a Spotify plugin
I want to point out that there are a number of alike suggestions on this topic. If consolidated they would be at 229 votes. https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10347033/slug%7D https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1359020/slug%7D https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10824820/slug%7D Roll20 should really invest in a position that does this.
Let's pick one Spotify post and go with it - too many different requests - no critical mass. Go to: Spotify integration for the Jukebox has 136 votes. Please vote there.
