Move token and also display Ruler measurement (from origin) with one drag action.

Often times there is a process of players selecting the ruler tool, checking where they are capable of moving before swapping back to the move tool and then moving the token. Is it feasible to maybe toggle a setting that enabled the ability to always display a ruler measurement from the origin of the click+drag action when moving a character? That way players could tell at a glance while moving their character how far they will have moved when dropping the token and completing the move action.
You can get similar functionality if you hit the Q key while dragging a token. Further Q keystrokes during the move allow for "waypoints". In the Wiki:  Waypoints
An alternative to Q-key is dragging token and simply right clicking while doing that. That supports both ruler and waypoints.
