Health bars not going away

The health bars of npcs are showing for all my players, and nothing I do seems to change that. I've tried changing the token defaults and applying them using "Apply Default Settings" but now it just shows the bars without the numbers. Which would be fine except I don't see the numbers either as GM.
"Apply Default Settings" only applies to new  tokens that are pulled out onto the VTT from the Journal tab; it will not adjust tokens already on the page.  You need to check the tokens that are on the page and make sure the "Player Permissions" for each bar are unchecked:  If you are unchecking those boxes and saving the settings, then reopening them and they are checked again, it means that you either have an API Script automatically adjusting your tokens (which means the game creator has a Pro subscription and has installed that script) or you are using 3rd-party browser extension tools. The "Token Bar Options" section is what determines what the bars look like for anyone who is able to view them (GM or players).  If you as GM want to see the numbers instead of just a small bar, then you need to make sure that you have the style set to "Standard", not "Compact". The "Location" setting only affects where  the bar is, but not whether it is larger with numbers (standard) or a smaller skinny bar without numbers (compact).
Yeah I’ve done all that stuff, I was just hoping the apply default settings would affect the ones on my page already. For some reason, dropping the new ones from journal over also fixed the health bars not disappearing but only on the new ones. I don’t have any API that impact health, but I think it’s fixed now. Thank you.
