Introduction: The friendly-neighborhood heroes are off on an intrepid adventure, leaving the local villagers behind to fend for themselves. Come join the locals as they explore the wilds, fend off dangers, and try to survive their first quest! This adventure will take 4-6 players and their party of level-0 characters through a "funnel" adventure. Each player will control multiple characters (role-playing opportunities abound) each with their stats, items, and personalities. This is not your normal one-shot, but it's a blast! Depending on the campaign, the death of a character can be quite rare (if not, nonexistent). Not here! Be prepared to lose one (or more!) of your characters through heroics, adventure, and accidents! (This one-shot adventure may roll over into a longer campaign if the players show interest.) DM if you're interested. Game time: Tonight! Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 8:30 PM EST (Check your local time to verify availability.) I will move the play date to Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 8:30 PM EST (or run a second game) if there is interest. Quote from Arcadia: "The term funnel adventure comes from Dungeon Crawl Classics and refers to an adventure where players control multiple level-0 characters: generally commoners, who are called to protect their home and find themselves in way over their heads. Think of an angry mob grabbing pitchforks and marching into the forest to face a horrible ogre. Most of them die, and the survivors return marked and changed forever. As well as being a fun meatgrinder adventure that allows GMs to cut loose with a high-lethality dungeon without worrying about killing characters players are invested in, funnels serve as a pro- cess of character creation through play. Funnels are popular in many other games (such as MÖRK BORG, Troika!, and Mothership2). Here we present a system for creating level-0 char- acters in fifth edition, a sample funnel adventure to run your peasants through, and rules for turning the survivors into full 1st-level characters who can go on to star in your epic campaign." -Arcadia Issue 9 by Chris Bisette- This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $15/player/session.
