Hello everyone! Allow me to introduce
myself. My name is Zeb and I have been roleplaying and game mastering for
over (cough!) 27 years! Crap I'm old. So with that in mind, I'll
gave you a brief overview of my experience:
I started game mastering with Marvel Super Heroes (1986
publication) that I found at a garage sale when I was 15 (1996), that my
friends and I would play during lunch periods in high school.
I played in AD&D (2e) for many years (16'ish)
I game mastered a 6 year long campaign of Legend of the
Five Rings (d10 edition).
I have also game mastered 3rd edition D&D, 3.5
D&D, Pathfinder 1e, and now D&D5e.
I currently run Starfinder as well as a Curse of Strahd
campaign on alternating Sundays with old high school buddies.
The current game I'm recruiting
for is a homebrew conversion of AD&D Ravenloft material to 5th
edition. Since the material is Ravenloft, there will be some serious
gore, body horror, cult and social evils, adult issues and general horror movie
type of scenarios in this game. 18+ is a must. Interested? Read more below about the
campaign and contact me! If I receive four or more interested
people, we can move on to the next steps of setting up a session zero and
scheduling session one! The Setting- Players will start within the Greyhawk setting
and will be a cohort, an ally, a student, or a mercenary hired by the Circle of
the Eight to investigate and deal with a cult known as the Ebon Fold. The
characters will quickly find themselves swept up into the mists of Ravenloft
and must struggle against the forces of evil to return home! The campaign
itself will stretch across several Domains of Dread, and allow players to grow
their characters from levels 1 to 18+ Game Day, Time, Language, and Cost Right now I was thinking Saturday nights
starting at 7pm est (4pm pst) (UTC -4). I speak English and unfortunately
none others. The game will be free to play, although tips are
welcome. My Promise to You- I've spent my hours developing this campaign
but I'm open to feedback if things don't seem right or the story has a plot
hole, so I'm dedicated to having fun. I run open, sandbox, player-centric
games that uses timers and triggers for events to make the world seem more
alive. I enjoy developing collaborative personalized story arcs with
players that result in awesome character development and special rewards.
Also during a session I try to spotlight every character in some way. I
follow the rules presented in the players handbook and the dungeon maters guide
plus any other official Wizards of the Coast books. If a rule comes into
question we research it and adjust gameplay as needed. I can teach and
instruct you how to use Roll20 as well as the rules for D&D5e.
Homebrew rules and 5e optional rules, will be presented by me and voted on by
you (majority wins) on session zero. I will also cover horror themes
during session zero to make sure everyone is comfortable with the material we
will be interacting with. Expectations- Have fun. Be engaged. Be
respectful. This is my hobby, I love game mastering... Other people
roleplay to blow of steam or for much needed social interaction with like
minded people. Frankly, we are all here to have fun, myself
included. There shouldn't be a "Me vs the GM" mindset
here. I'm not your enemy... I mean yes I will try and kill the
characters... but not in a mean or spiteful way.
