3 weeks ago my players where able to see in darkness with legacy lighting without any hassle and when i logged in today to make a new map the player tokens aren't able to see anything except themselves. on the gm screen i am able to see the radius of there vision but then i press ctrl + L they can only see there token. i checked every box that i needed to check and had all token have sight and i still get the same result, is there something I'm doing wrong or is this a bug. and no I'm not using UDL because it causes my computer to slow down hard when there are multiple tokens on screen

is there something I'm doing wrong or is this a bug Hard to tell for sure from the description. Checking  this Help page for Legacy lighting, are your token settings and page settings consistent with the examples? Do the troubleshooting steps help? Is the token with all your desired lighting settings saved, as the last step, as the default token? Also, do the players themselves not see the parts of the map that they are supposed to, or is it just Ctrl-L that is misbehaving? If you do figure out what the fix is, please let us know here so other people with the same issue can benefit. Edit: Thank you for updating the thread with the issue! Glad things are working again.
i found the problem, it was the fog of war interfering with the legacy lighting. thank you for responding
I was totally going to say fog of war, I often see people having it on default for pages and then turn on LDL on a page cause its a dungeon crawl or something or a flashy map they want to use DL on and the DM often gets use to the darkened view and doesn't realize fog of war is still enabled.  Btw they are great combination sto use in conjuction just don't use AFOW cause thats really laggy depending on how many vertices are on the dl layer.
