[LFP] [5e] [Free] [New Module Play Test—Exodus of Wolfbane] [4-6 players, age 18+] [5-6 sessions, 4–5 hours each] [Saturdays 6pm CST, flexible] Exodus of Wolfbane is a 1st–3rd level 5e module that has been converted from our popular Dungeon Crawl Classics version (from gaminghonors.com). I am looking for play testers to make sure the conversion is balanced properly and to get any feedback before we take it to print. Play testers will each get a free printed module as well as their name in the credits! MODULE DESCRIPTION Yesterday the village of Wolfbane was razed to the ground by a jealous king determined to find Shadowforde, the mysterious spellcaster who has aided the citizens for generations. Now you and a few dozen survivors are on the run, desperately trying to protect Shadowforde and reach his mythical homeland, Stonewater—your only hope of a safe haven. The journey will take weeks, and the way is full of danger. Shadowforde is weak and ill. The king’s men are hunting you. And you are searching for a legend. The Exodus of Wolfbane is an epic 1- to 3rd-level adventure compatible with 5e. Your peasants will become hardened heroes as they battle strange monsters, harsh elements, and the king’s cruel soldiers. You will grapple with mysteries, hauntings, moral dilemmas, and death-defying chases. And what will be waiting for you if you manage to reach Stonewater? Take the journey and find out! — Exodus has some fun new game mechanics that come into play, including a wild opening combat, special cards that players can use in times of need, and somewhat of a puzzle that unleashes powerful results as it is solved. I have been running games for many years and pride myself on being very well prepared, with great combat maps and virtual handouts. I tend to run about a 50/50 role playing to combat ratio, but will definitely lean more toward RP if players are so inclined. I generally follow the official rules of 5e, but I do not like to slow down game play by digging into rulebooks for things that can otherwise be judged with common sense. A mix of experienced and inexperienced players is totally fine. LGBTQ-friendly. IMPORTANT: I request that players have a reliable internet connection as well as clear audio. This play test may also serve as a possible recruiting platform as I search for players who are interested in a long term, enriching, home-brew 5e campaign that takes place in Blackmoor, the setting that started D&D. I ran the setting for my regular group for 65 sessions during Covid! I can be reached at thad@gaminghonors.com
