Why 2 options for drawing Circles?

Why are there 2 Options to draw a circle if one button is enough? IF it is splitted that way, why not remove the option OR use it for something else?
Good question! I would rather have the second choice be a second method for drawing shapes: The current method is drawing the shape by defining the diagonal corners; how about being able to draw a rectangle or ellipse by defining the center and major/minor radii (A rectangle would be defined by the center and radius of the inscribed ellipse)? Even restricting that option to circle/square would be helpful. (Easy AOE for spell effects!)
+1 for this!

As someone who has been using Adobe software since the beginning, my fingers already try to do this. alt/option to draw from center. shift to constrain aspect ratio to square.
