Breif overview: Hello there and welcome. Obviously by clicking here you have some interest in what the hell this is all about. Currently the group that I have going consists of two real life friends who happen to live about five hundred miles north and south of me here on the west coast. We are looking for two more players to fill out the last spots on our campaign. I am currently a novice player, doing a number of campaigns and have a firm grasp of the rules and basics. My friend Blitz down south is a DM with roughly 12 years of experience and 15 years of totaled experience with DnD. We have one friend who is brand new to the game who we are easing into it by doing this campaign (We really want to torture him). We don't care if you're new or experienced, we only ask that you aren't a dick to our new player friend about this game. Story Details: The details of the campaign are rather straight forward. You are a villager, so freaking useless that your entire village can't stand you stick around any longer. The reasons for what broke the camel's back is up for you to decide, but you are now on your own regardless. Your abilities as a person are complete garbage, you don't have a penny to your name and you are given a single unknown strong item that will help you through your adventures, be it a weapon, a piece of armor or a precious heirloom of your family. Do you die, or do you rise from your incompetence to something grand? You decide, but remember. You are not some exulted hero, you are a worthless villager. More Detail: This game will be played in pathfinder, no homebrew will be allowed for players unless the DM approves. You will start as a level 0 villager with one item of your choice and you must provide a background to what profession you had in your village to determine extra starting skills. The DM will guide you through the creation if you have any question. We roll 3d6 dice six times and you take the lowest two. Abilities cannot be 3 or lower before or after racials and the highest you can achieve is 11 before racial. If you happen to roll 3 of a kind you may roll all three dice and total them together, even if it's worse than before. If you happen to roll three 6's one stat may start 18 as an exulted ability. You may take a reroll if you want to, but at the DM's discretion you may not reroll again. The rest of the details on character creation will be discussed on skype. If I am mistaken in any rule here, the post will be corrected to reflect the change. What we are looking for: This sort of campaign doesn't stand for half ass builds, but we are not looking for broken builds either. You are already fighting an uphill battle with your character's own ineptitude, however this is meant to be a entertaining story to tell. We currently have one character who plans to become a fighter and another a sorcerer. We will not restrict what you can be, but you have to think logically about it, Our DM is willing to NPC a cleric if no one chooses to take one, and we will want at least one character who is a healer when the group is filled by idiots. Race is free to choose, we'd love one person to play a monster race, but it's not necessary. (lizardfolk, goblin, etc) Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you have any questions post them here or ask me on skype at calvin.everitt

Time is yet to be made, but we are thinking either Monday, Tuesday or Thursday night around 7PST We may be open to earlier times if everybody can line up. EDIT: The time has been set for Tuesday at 8PM PST, I'm including this in case we ever need more poeple.
This sounds like it could be fun. How long do you plan to run the campaign for? By 'level 0 villager' I assume you mean commoner . What are the rules for level 0? How do you plan to handle level ups (once we reach 1st level can it be in a more standard class? Will it be slow or quick leveling?) Are there house rules involved to allow spellcasters the ability to reach higher spell levels or is there just no plan to get that high? To make sure I am clear, abilities are rolled as 3d6 and the two lowest are taken (though the ability must be between 4 & 11, with racial bonuses allowing the 11 to be increased), repeated for each ability. Are abilities changed in order or assigned down the line? Are you having a character building session or do you have a campaign already to make the initial rolls? I tend to try and plan out my characters so I appreciate having some time to build them mechanically and flesh out all their RP aspects. I think I would lean towards a Druid or Range/Rogue. I tend towards stealthy ranged characters but a Druid may be a good fit for the group, allowing some healing and potentially an animal companion (that could be an interesting point as it could be better at protecting the party than everyone else combined). I am currently unavailable Tuesday evenings. Also I would need a slightly later start time, more like 8-8:30 PST, as my kids are not down to bed yet at 7 PST. When do you plan to start this game?
It's a level one peasant villager, skills in profession, craft, survival, and one knowledge of choice. Profession and Craft are based on background and character's family professions. 11 is the most one can achieve when taking the bottom two dice in a group of 3 total dice (5,6,6). You can get more, but only if you get three of a kind dice. You take all of the dice rolls and then you're allowed to assign them to the stats you prefer. You would be able to roll the character as you please. Nothing is initially set up. I only wish to clarify, but unfortunately. I've had over six people contact me through this site or skype and we've already found our two players. I'll be sure to bump this thread in the future if we ever need/want another player or to replace someone who has left.

I know its full but this was all I thought from reading this. Unless I totally misunderstood the roleplay idea for this campaign. King Arthur : How does it... um... how does it work? Sir Lancelot : I know not, my liege. King Arthur : Consult the Book of Armaments. Brother Maynard : Armaments, chapter two, verses nine through twenty-one.
