Cradlefall: In the beginning Greetings fellow Roleplayers and Welcome to my little place on the Roll20! I'm not really sure where to start, so I'll just start rambling, and at any point, I start to bore you just click off and save yourself. About me: Well, I have been practicing the magical arts of D&D5e for a couple of years now! Mainly as a Dungeon Master, but only playing through adventure modules by Wizard of the Coast. I am 30 years old, a husband, and a father! I enjoy playing games and D&D in my free time, usually late at night on the weekends, but sometimes I can squeeze week games in! My favorite type of campaigns are text-only ones, I know they're not the most popular on the site, but I really love the role play aspect of it and the slower pace. This brings us to... The Campaign : This will be my first attempt at both a homebrew world and homebrew campaign! So please keep this in mind when I start to sound like I have no idea what I'm doing! I have pre-crafted us a world map and an original "town" known as Cradlefall, the rest is all up to us! I aim to start small and build out from there, working with those who decide to play in order to build a living and breathing world. So with that said, if you are afraid of dipping your hands into the dark powers of world-building, then this may not be the place for you. The Setting : I don't want to start off with anything drastic, though I wouldn't mind once things get kicked off. For now, let us start with a typical forgotten realms setting, something like the Sword Coast or Midgard, and I'll likely draw inspiration from both of those sources. Back to the drastic talk... I don't have anything planned yet, but I was thinking maybe a zombie-infested world or something, I don't know, but we will see. Open to suggestions. How We Roll : So as I mentioned the game will be played out in a text-only format. I may get on voice with those who join from time to time to discuss world-building and that kind of thing, but never for actual play. Sessions will be played in Roll20 and all out-of-character chats will be done over Discord. Please note that this campaign will not be play by post, but played via live text sessions. When : I have two spots open, I'll likely start up a game on both days, but for the start let us just start with one. So the game day that has the most interest will be the one we will start with and throw the other day in after a while. So my two options are: Every other Friday starting at 11:30 pm EST or Every other Sunday starting at 10:30 am EST How to join: This part is very simple!
