Hello. I am looking for players to start off an attempt at a pretty heavily homebrewed modern apocalypse sort of situation in 5e. This is mostly just to get my footing as a DM and balancing mechanics while making an attempt to get 5e to work in a modern setting. The general overview of the story can be found below: The world as we know it has ended in 2040. What started with massive riots and civil unrest moved onto a strange sickness that brought the dead to life. Characterized by a tell-tale blackish ooze, it rapidly spread through the community and shook the world to its very core. The last of humanity lives on the fringes, doing whatever they can to survive. Those who managed to scrape by were not left untouched, however. When the world ended, people and animals began to change. Some for the better, some for the worse. Some found themselves endowed with supernatural gifts while others found their very body changing before them. Living on the fringes of the dying world, will you fight to survive in the mythical and strange land known as Wyoming? We will be using discord for voice and Roll20 for the tabletop and everything else.
