I'm an experienced D&D player, 40 he/him, friendly and open to playing with anybody that isn't a jerk. I got into D&D with Third Edition in college in the early 2000s and after a long time away from the hobby have been playing 5e for about two years now. I have a generally odd schedule and don't get out much, but I have been playing in a couple of long term D&D games during the little islands of reliable free time I have. I am free and available literally any time on Fridays EST, through Saturday morning. I'm very familiar with 5e rules and generally prefer to play RAW or extremely close to it. I enjoy a more or less balanced mix of time spent between roleplaying and action (combat/exploration). I very much do not like any kind of PvP (including things like stealing from other PCs or otherwise hindering, sabotaging, or making things unpleasant for them), and I also don't enjoy any sort of mindless murderhobo crap. I think of D&D like a team sport, and see the party as my team to find ways to get along with and support each other. I think humor and jokes should be part of a good gaming experience but the game and story should be taken seriously for the most part and not treated like a cartoon or sitcom based on idiot characters creating absurd situations for reasons that are contrived at best. I want heroism and adventure, not the Three Stooges or a backstabbing mob drama. I generally prefer to play clerics and I have multiple character ideas stirring around which I'm fully willing to work with a DM to adjust to fit into their game. I'm familiar with Roll20 and Foundry and shouldn't have issues learning a different VTT. I have a good quality mic and a webcam and am comfortable using both. So if you're starting a game or have an opening in an existing one that meets any time Friday EST (or even into Saturday evening if you're in Australia or something), drop me a line.
