I was wondering about buying books/pdfs on roll 20 as a player if i buy the dnd books will i have access to all the books in any dnd game I play in? For example like with using the Charactermancer or is that dependent on which books the gm has?
If the GM has purchased books that have compendium access then yes, you can use them in the GMs game IF they grant you access. If you purchase books on Roll20 that have compendium access then yes, you can use them in any game, even if the GM does not have them, IF they grant you the ability to use them in that game (they can deny you access in their game).
