Selection caret no longer changes when hovering over a token

The caret used to change from a single arrow to the four arrows  pointing  outwardly when you hovered over a token, but now does not. This isn't helpful as I may just want to locate and NOT actively select a token. Is something broken, or is there a setting which has changed please?

Just noticed it YET AGAIN when working on GM Layer... And to answer your question, Yes, this came with the token bar changes on VTT recently! There is another Thread about this. Thanks, the forum thread seems to just be other people having the same problem, but nothing about a 'fix' :(
