Hello Everyone I was DMing today, and both my encounter maps did not load. The whole part where the map is, was black, but everything else worked fine. Like rolling, chating or managing the turn order :/ Fortunately i found a work around while preping today. I was able to "force load" different maps by joining as player and switching back to DM. But i still could not change maps (as DM) and the trick didn't work for the two maps i needed. In the end I DMed in player view, where the maps loaded just fine and i could control the enemy tokens after another player joined as DM and gave me player rights for the tokens. And the same player had to join as DM to remove lightning barriers (doors), because they loaded just fine for him. The game we use is quite long running, so a lot of clutter NPCs and maps are in the game, but as a first try I deleted a lot of it, which didn't work. I could not bring me to delete more, they players discovers a bunch of citys / safe havens, which all had a map and notes on them. I just checked and I get the same problems with different games, for example "The Camp Clearwater Massacre" which was a free adventure i haven't modified and "The Sunnless Citadel" a bought adventure. If i join the game as DM the first map loads, but if i switch two or three maps its all black. I don't have the problem with a much much smaller game I use for testing, which only has five maps ans nearly no PCs / NPCs. I also noted that the "funny loading text" speeds up a lot. Generally it feels like roll20 gets into a lot of problems, when it gets cluttered without warning about it :/ Is it just this or do other work around exist? Thanks for any advice. I somehow just wanted to share my frustration. Tob
