<<< Intro >>> We started this campaign over 2 years ago and, amazingly, we're still going! It isn't very often that we have the chance to bring in new players (due to setting, story, location etc), however, the party is just about to start a new chapter in the campaign meaning it's the perfect time to bring in someone new.... is it you? <<< The World >>> Firstly, this is an original modern-fantasy world setting with it's own set of gods, locations and lore, meaning if you are looking for a WotC campaign setting, this isn't it. In short, after countless conflicts by both god and man, the world...and all which lays beyond it, enters into a new age. The continent of Xoran (shore-ran). In the Imperial ran mega city, magic is controlled by the Empire and the Academy. In the outer districts, criminal gangs rise to power, favouring machine over magic. Outside the districts, in a place referred to as the Wastelands, Machinery and Magic are second to survival. Yet deep within the forgotten Wildlands, ancient secrets wait to be discovered. Overseas, the Empire of Xoran prepare to go to war against the freedom fighters of Cordemagia, but little do they know of the world changing events which will soon unfold. This is an open-world, lore-based setting, where as a player, you are free to explore. It is also a living world, by which I mean that the NPCs and factions, have their own goals which at times can change the world, hinder the party, or go completely unnoticed until it is too late. <<<Current party>>> Currently we have 3 active players, and another 3 on standby (Yolir will return soon). Even though they are not active in the main campaign at the moment, we still work together and run several one-shots during their hiatus (this affects the main campaign). >Active: Aeon - Ranger / Fighter / Cleric Xi - Paladin / Warlock Moz - Assassin Thief >Inactive: Roach - Homebrew Artificer Yolir - Barbarian / Homebrew Paladin Noin - Druid of the Underworld <<< Where is the Party right now? >>> Whilst searching for the 5 Xinto Orbs, artefacts capable of restoring the bridges between planes, the party learnt that one of the Orb Guardians had went missing, allowing an imposter to take her place. Having noticed the increasing presence of the Shadow Lord, Oscuro, an exiled god, banished after the age of darkness, the party investigated and realized that without the orb or the guardian to protect it, the world will to succumb to Oscuro's madness once more. <<< When and Where >>> We play (almost) every Thursday at 7pm (UTC+2). We used Roll20 and discord for character sheets and rolls. Additionally, I build terrain and minis for this campaign, and stream it over discord (for players only) although it depends on the session (See RPG_Vinnie on instagram for details). <<< Who are we looking for? >>> New or experienced, we don't care as long as you are willing to learn and have fun. We're not professionals, nor do we aim to be, at the end of the day we just want to create an adventure together, pushing each other to develop the story and the characters. Important note, discrimination, abusive or derogative behaviour will not be tolerated. <<< FAQ >>> Can I use a character that I previously built? - Possibly, but you might have to make a lot of changes for it to organically fit into the world setting, so we would suggest working with the GM to see what is and isn't possible. Can I play any race or class? - Class, yes...Race, depending. Again due to the world setting, not every race can be found, after all, on the mortal world, all non-human race is in hiding, this doesn't mean that you are forced to be a human, it just means you'd need to speak with the GM. What level is the party? - Currently (November 2022) the party is Level 9.
