D&D 5e - Weapons from the player's handbook do not appear?

I tried searching for weapons to add to my NPCs but the player's handbook weapons list does not appear in the compendium? I own the player's handbook on Roll20 (You can see cloud of daggers at the bottom there) and I have my compendium settings set correctly?

I don't understand: I see from your screenshot that you are searching for "dagger", and it does appear in your search results. You should be able to drag-and-drop it from there to the NPC character sheet.

If you want a list so you can see what items to search for, you can search for "weapons" and click on the entry when it comes up then keep that page open as a reference while you search.

So when I search for Dagger, it does come up - With the DSI version which stands for Dragons of Stormwreck Isle.

Which copies onto a sheet like this

Less than desirable :\

When I look for "weapons" like you suggest, the PHB list does come up:

But when I click on Dagger...

The PHB source is mysteriously gone.

I want to use the PHB drag and drop version because it's the one I paid for and it will copy over much cleaner :\

I have just entered some other games that I am a DM for and just a player for that have compendium sharing on - All of them seem to have the Player's Handbook disabled from the compendium for equipment.

This is, in my opinion, a bug and needs to be looked at by Roll20 staff - It is content I've paid for that I cannot access that I USED to be able to access in the past. Not sure what's changed.

Knight,

There are two parts to this:
Part 1, the SRD: weapons such as the Dagger are available as part of the SRD. That is available to everyone.
To verify this create a free account, you will see the dagger and other "PHB gear" in the SRD.

Part 2, when you purchase products that share the same content as the SRD then they supplant the SRD. The DSI supplants the SRD in this case.
This occurs in all sorts of instances but there is usually no difference (barring bugs) in the equipment's entry, just the source changes.

There is no PHB specific entry for Dagger (and other basic weapons) in the Compendium because they were already there, as part of the free SRD.

With that said, if there is a problem with an entry, please file a bug report for it via the Help Center
The forums are primarily users helping users.

Confirmed that there is a problem with the entry for dagger on Draagons of Stormwatch Isle. It does not populate properly on an NPC sheet. PC seems to work. What Gauss said above is all correct. This should be reported to Roll20 through a Help Center Request, which will create a ticket for review and correction(Forums are mostly community help).

In the meantime (though this might not be a workable solution in your case), you can turn off DSI temporarily in your compendium sources on your settings page. This will re-activate the SRD listing, which is properly formatted. Good catch!

Edit: I have also made a report.

Ah I see - Thanks for your help Keith, that makes sense. I'll endeavour to make a report as well!
