Will be about 3hr sessions. A Monster of the Week RP-heavy campaign that takes place in a coastal city, unknowingly beset by evil. Inspired by things such as Pet Shop of Horrors, Little Shop of Horrors (yes this city will include many kinds of horrible shops, lol) Sailor Moon, Jem and the Holograms, Gravity Falls, and more! This will range from absolute horror to silly if you can't tell from the inspiration; we're here to have fun after all! Explore the hustle of the city and its many intriguing shops and strange residents, enjoy the beautiful sandy beach (and the terrors lurking below), or relax with your friends in the outskirts of town with vast fields, suburbs, and the ??????. But don't worry about that. Player input LOVED for what you want in the setting, story, etc. RP heavy, beginners more than welcome! I'm a 29yo nonbinary artist whose passion lies in storytelling! The most important things to me in ttrpgs are fun, roleplay, and story (including player characters' backstories, not just plot). I've been DMing for about 10 years and playing D&D for about 15. I love homebrew and having the players add onto the setting with locations, plot hooks, NPCs, deities, whatever they (reasonably) want to add! New players always welcome! Being LGBTQ+ myself, obviously this table loves and welcomes LGBTQ+ players! Hard rules for all my games: NO racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, bigotry, etc. That includes fantasy versions (ie: "all orcs are born evil and therefore do x"). NO SA, noncon, torture. (Said things can be allowed, with approval, in PC backstories, and do exist in NPC backstories, but will not be directly mentioned or described) And... we're here to have fun!! <3 Will send a form pregame for lines/veils/etc. Will message to go over what kind of game everyone wants to play ("i hate puzzles" "i love combat" etc), touching base on things we don't want in the game, talking character dynamics, working on character sheets, explaining gameplay if new to MOTW. After games, I usually chat (in call or in discord) with everyone and joke around - I always try to balance out the harsh with humor, and I check in with everyone after a rough session.
