(LFG)(New player)(5e) New player who wants to learn dnd.

I am a brand new player who would love to play the game.

Hi!  I'm John.  I have been playing dnd for a long time.  I started playing 2nd edition with some friends back in the 80s.  I was out of it for a very long time because well, life happens.  Last November I stumbled across Roll20.  Since then I have been playing a lot, a couple of times a week online and I DM a true table top game with my family.  Now I am trying to expand my knowledge of Roll20 and learn how to DM a campaign on this VTT format. I can help you learn how to play the game.  In fact, another player and I are trying to get a game going maybe next Friday around maybe 3PM Eastern time.  If you are interested, please let me know.  we can start with just the 3 of us, or maybe even add a couple more by then.  If that doesn't work out.  let me know and I can help you get started at least.  I really enjoy playing this game and like to help other people play too.  I have taught my brother-in-law and my niece and nephew how to play.  I can help you learn to play too.

According to the terms of service agreements, you have to be at least 13 years old to use Roll20 with someone other than your parents or guardian. So if you are at least 13, and your parents are OK with you playing this game, I don't have a problem with you being young.  If you are less than 16 I would probably feel safer talking with you and your parents on Discord just to make sure that everyone has a good understanding of this game.  The good part about that is they may want to play too.  I have taught my niece and nephew how to play and they are in their teens so I don't mind playing with young people.  But we do need to be responsible about it for everyone's safety.

Great! Please let me know your age and if your parents are OK with you playing D&D.  If you are between 13 and 16, please have one of your parents join us for session 0.  I am hoping to have a session 0 next Friday at around 3 PM to 4 PM Eastern time on Discord.  Session 0 is where we create characters, and talk about safety and boundaries.  Would you be available at that time?   Like I mentioned, I still have to get a few things ready and it may give us a chance to get a nother player or 2.   I have to talk with the other player I have lined up who has also been playing for a long time to find a specific time.  Let me know and we will coordinate a time that works best for all of us.
