System: D&D 5e When: Friday 7PM PST How often: Up to weekly Platform: Roll20 & Discord Voice Module: Curse of Strahd Number of players: 4-6 Payment amount and frequency: $15 per player per session Payment System: Zelle & paypal Summary: Join this exciting Dungeons and Dragons campaign as you journey together into the Gothic horror module that everyone loves! Brace yourself as we venture into the dark mists of Barovia and face the horrors that lie within. Can you succeed where others have failed and put an end to Strahd's reign of terror? As experienced adventurers, you will enter Ravenloft at 3rd level with established relationships and a history of shared trials and tribulations (to be discussed in session zero).  Bloodhunter and Artificer are both allowed, but there will be no custom lineages or UA, and nothing past Fizban's Treasury of Dragons. While bizarre and rare races are allowed, expect appropriate reactions from NPCs, and please, no joke or gag characters. Some monsters and encounters will be homebrewed, and we will be using some 3rd party materials. This is a paid campaign, with each session costing $15 USD paid via Zelle. Sessions will run for 3 hours and will be held as frequently as once a week with discord for voice chat and roll20 as our VTT service, starting at 7:00 pm PST. Dm for further details. About Me: Greetings! My name is Chris, but you may also call me by my username yousodumb or some variation thereof. As a seasoned DM with more than 15 years of experience, I'm excited to bring the ominous and foreboding world of Barovia to life in our upcoming paid Dungeons and Dragons campaign. While I do tend to stick fairly closely to the rules, I'm also all about creating an immersive experience and allowing for some epic moments along the way. I believe in the power of "Yes, and..." as well as "No, but," and I'm always striving to find ways to increase player engagement and enjoyment. One of my favorite things is working with players to weave their character backstories into the overarching plot, bringing everything together in a truly compelling way. When it comes to gameplay, I try to strike a balance between mechanics and narrative, putting equal emphasis on both so that everyone can have a great time. And of course, with the setting of Curse of Strahd, you can expect plenty of gothic horror and mystical elements to keep you on the edge of your seat. So let's venture forth together and see what fate has in store! Snippet: The haggard old lady leans forward in her creaking chair, the flickering candlelight casting harsh shadows over her harshly wrinkled face. Her thin lips are curled into a knowing grin, as her one good eye pierces through your being. She laughs harshly, a mocking cackle that echoes through the expanse of the ornately decorated tent. “The cards never lie, my dear.” She says in a hoarse voice that squeaks like a rusted hinge as a chill wind caresses your cheeks. “I’m afraid the portent is dark for you, woe awaits in your future.” Your hackles are raised as the stale, overwhelming smell of incense threatens to make you sneeze.
