Large Game will not copy

I have noticed postings a few years old that large games will not copy sometimes. "Despar" said in one posts that transmogrify is the only solution. Is this still the case?

I have quite a large game that still copies. But many years ago, it used to have issues. What happens when you try?
When I copy it the copy says complete and then when you open it there is nothing it is blank like a brand new game

Since the data size of your game isn't accessible from the user side, the only way to be sure would be to contact support through a Help Center.  They are the only ones that can look at your game and say for sure it is beyond the limit where the servers time out during the copy operation.

The Survey Mod script can give you an idea where your pain points might be. It gives you a detailed breakdown of what and where and how many assets exist in a game.
So I can be over the limit on something even know I am a 1/3 of  my storage? I well try to contact help desk I did that but no response yet. Thanks

I had a similar problem when I tried to roll back a game recently. When I submitted a ticket, I was told that my game was approaching the limit of how large of a game could be reliably backed up, and I'm using barely 5% of my total account storage allowance. @Aramathis and @Rick A., I do not believe what is in your storage (storage allowance)  affects game size.  Game size are things like the pages (maps) you have, Tokens, drawings (usually on the DL layer), Characters (PCs, NPCs, etc), Handouts, etc.  The more pages with content, the more content on the Journal tab then the larger your game. Some games are truly massive with dozens or even a hundred+ pages. Or hundreds of entries in the Journal.
Well, I do have a lot of journal entries; mostly NPCs and location descriptions. I have to keep more things "live" since my players (now 9th level) have been around a bit and often need to review info about the places they've been and people they've met. I could probably profit from moving a few more things to my library game. Thanks for this insight. It appears I will have to create a campaign vault and transmogrify to it to save. I already have a battle board game because of scripts failing due to continuous loop errors due to game size. I will have to now vault things on another game set up to save them.  I am a retired businessman that has been a DM/GM for 44 years and in that I run long  running campaigns that are neither small or in limited detail.

My practice is to keep a library campaign that I transmogrify non-current stuff into. I back up the entire campaign once or twice a year, and then ruthlessly prune the live campaign directly afterwards. A trick to restoring things from a library campaign: try to move characters you want first, then any maps they might be on. The transmogrifier will then be able to properly  keep token:character sheet references.
Thanks so much for your insight and experience it is greatly appreciated! I have some work to do transmogrifying but once done I am sure it will be good to go.
