New to DND and need help

Hi peeps. I'm new to all this a want to learn at the ripe old age of 37.  Looking for people to show me what to do and play with.  Tia Volundr 

Like what kind of hell do you need? 

All the help people can offer lol. Where to start etc. I've ordered the 5th edition starter pack which will be delivered tomorrow. 

Hmmm… I’d say the best thing to do is read over the players manual, as well as a few fantasy novels, get an idea of what you’d like to play as a character, if your going to play via roll20, find a beginner friendly game that fits your schedule and join the game. or ask if there’s a game master who’s willing to allow you to sit in and watch a game session and how it runs.  If you have any questions feel free to ask. 

Certainly actually playing in a game or two would be a good place to start, and there is certainly no shortage of them on roll20. I run beginner friendly games that though they aren't D&D would introduce you to the rpg experience, at least, and if you are interested I would be only too happy to talk to you about that.
