Type game.   Approximately ten years ago I ran a three-year campaign based of the MORTALS WOD system, in which the players played as themselves in an apocalyptic scenario and since zombies are always popular, I ran it as a zombie apocalypse scenario. After some time of running the game, I began to merge in other WOD systems, mainly Hunter, Werewolf, Vampire, Geist, and Mage, with drips and drabs of other systems such as Scion, Rogue Trader and Dark Heresy just to see how they would work in combination with the WOD systems. Eventually as the players progressed and began living this alternate life scenario the players would eventually become one of the Supernatural beings and each player had their own story ark to complete as well as the group story ark. In fact, one of my players forced my hand in to me making them a supernatural (Geist) being only after a handful of games and this was interesting to see as he was a Supernatural for about eight months before anyone figured it out, which is when I began transforming the other players into their supernatural selves. (Hint: Always Remember to wear you seat belt.) In my game I also had the players travelling the world trying to figure out what caused the apocalypse and how to fix it.   I am considering running another game or games like it on the Roll20 platform, but wanted to see if people would be interested in playing these types of games. The campaign took me about six months of planning and research, before I began running the game and don’t want to plan something that people may not be interested in.   So my questions are…   Would people be interested in playing such a game?   What type of apocalypse scenario would you like to play?   (I.E. Zombies. Aliens. Kaiju. Natural Distasters. Pandemic. Country/Worldwide Martial Law. Nuclear War/Disasters. Heaven and Hell theme. Android/Machine Uprising (Terminator or IRobot kind of theme). Dragons/Dinosaurs (Jurassic Park / Reign of Fire Theme). Animal Uprising (Zoo themed).   Would you be willing to be honest about who you are to be able to generate yourself in to a character sheet?   Side Note: I wont be asking for things like bank detains, emails, passwords or anything of that nature it is none of my business for the purposes of my game.   All I will need to help you generate your you character sheet is things such as, what level of education you have. For example, if you have completed university this would give you an automatic four dots in Academics on a Mortals character sheet. Or if your educational back ground is at university level in an animal related course, it would be an automatic four dots in academics and three dots in animal ken depending on what you were studying. One of my players had and bred german sheperds, also giving him a certain number in animal ken with specializations in Dogs and German Shepherds and was a constant companion for him within the game. However, I didn’t make him a werewolf as I thought that it wouldn’t be challenging for that player and made him a different supernatural being all together.         Have you ever picked a lock, gives you a couple of automatic dots. Do you speak a second language, gives you a certain number of dots. Do you have allergies or medical conditions, that would make things difficult for you in an apocalypse scenario? In the last game I ran, on of my players was a type one diabetic and requires insulin to live. So, both me and the player had to keep track of that and if he needed more insulin. I later made him a mage, which aloud him to create a spell which healed his condition. Do you have phobias? A player of mine feared the dark, so I had to incorporate that into a game until the player did something that overcame that fear.   Whilst generating you as you in a character sheet can take a little while it is also fun for both player and me, because it helps me to start thinking about your story as a player and what supernatural being I might make you.   If you have any questions or would like to show your interest in playing the game, will you please send me a private message. Include your name, what type of apocalypse you’d like to play, where you are from (not exact address, just country and city) and I’ll try and respond quickly to answer questions you may have.   I am asking you to include an apocalypse scenario you’d like to play along with city/country, as what I’ll do is run the most popular scenarios… I.E. If Zombies, Aliens and Doomsday scenarios I’ll run them in the most stated locations and I will work in the other players by saying that you are on holiday or something of that nature.   Thanks for reading my post hope to hear from you soon…
