My GM wants to use dynamic lighting but he doesn't want areas that the characters cannot see to be completely obscured to the players. How can he lower the opacity for the players rather than just the GM?
Turn on explorer mode. And then reveal the entire map to the players. Ares that don't have direct line of sight or light will be black and white and objects on the token layer won't be visible to the party.
Be careful using explorer mode, though. On large or complex maps with many lights or many tokens with vision it can be a big strain on graphics resources. Scott C. said: Turn on explorer mode.
