Players can no longer resize their drawings - bug or new feature?

So I noticed on Sunday that Players, not GMs, can no longer resize drawings that they place anymore. By Drawings I mean the square, circle, polygon etc. My players use these all the time as a quick way of displaying who is in range of an area of effect. They can still draw a square or circle but they must get the size exactly correct first time as only the GM can resize it now. I didn't want to write a bug report for this in case this is somehow intended but I cannot see this in the latest patch notes. I either want to ask for it back on Suggestions or report it on Bug Reports I'm just not sure which category it belongs in right now.

Hi Jamie, It belongs in this thread . My guess is that it is a bug that is part of the new UI. Until it is fixed players can use the old UI.
It actually doesn't work whether you have the new UI on or not.

Yeah, weird...in my testing last night I was seeing it working for "Player" in "Old UI" but it might have been the system weirding out when I was switching from GM to Player mode and also switching from new to old UI.  Retesting it this morning I see that it doesn't work for players for the Old UI either.

Hey Jamie, Thank you so much for reporting this! This is likely related to the new Toolbar Redesign that we did but affects both sides of the house unfortunately. We have it on our agenda to talk about tomorrow and we'll see what we can do to fix this for you. Thanks again for your help. I'll let you know more when know more. Also, I wanted to mention that we might have some good news for you in the near future. We're looking at improving the measure tools to include the ability to measure using shapes. This will hopefully allow you to not need to use the drawing tools for this reason in the future. You'll have to let us know what you think when we release them!
That is honestly beautiful. I would love to be able to measure via shapes. I hope it's not too much too ask for a cone. I can only speak for 5e but I think it would make playing that game easier for most everyone.
Hey Jamie, I have some good and bad news for you. We're not going to be able to fix this quite yet for you. As a part of our redesign process, we are hoping to redesign our drawing tools. When we do that, we're going to look into this and make sure that players can resize their own drawings. I don't know when that will be and I can't give you any promises about a timeline. BUT, the good news is that we are starting work next week on the measure tool and hope to have that ready for you and your players to use soon. Also it WILL have a cone function in it! So, hopefully, that solves your underlying problem even though we're not going to get to what you were talking about anytime soon. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Jamie, since there will not be a fix for this in the near future I wanted to stop in and provide some workarounds.  If you drop me an invite I can give you some templates I created for cones. Then they are attached to a character and players can pull those in and move them as desired. For circles and squares I recommend the following:  1) Use the measurement tool to measure out one axis. Hold shift before releasing the tool and it will stay visible.  2) Next, draw a line along that axis.  3) Use the measurement tool to measure out the other axis. Hold shift before releasing the tool so it will stay visible.  4) Draw the circle so it matches the two axis measurements (line and measurement tool).  5) Delete the line from step 2.
