Weirdest. Bug. Ever.

Preface: I have not opted into the Beta. Logged into Roll20 for a game and was confused by all the very unintuitive icon changes. A reload fixed it, as it turns out, but it was a very confusing several minutes. "Roll20 looks... really weird. Why are the numbers spelled out?" "Huh? Oh, there's a new update, that's all." Ten minutes later. "Hey man, I don't think that's the beta version. What do you mean there's an anchor icon on the chat button?"

Hi Michael! Occasionally those icons will display oddly. They are actually font characters. If there is an issue downloading the font, due to a delivery problem with Amazon Web Services, an extension like an ad blocker or spam protector, or a vpn, you can get odd results. If it happens again, see if the problem continues in a private browsing window. If it doesn't then it is likely an issue getting your browser to read the font file. Try disabling browser extensions or whitelisting Roll20 in the more likely candidates to see if you can resolve the issue. But in all likelihood, it was a temporary issue in retrieving a particular bit of data.

Wow! I’ve never seen that one since I started here in 2014Q1.  I always run Roll20 in an Incognito / Private Browing window these days.

Those aren't the typical characters I see. It's likely substituting a different font than whatever typically gets reported. I see a report maybe once or twice a year, always temporary.
